Just like every other party of Thailand, Pattaya is very accepting of any person for who they are or wht they believe, and gay people are no exception. Many people often forget that Thailand does has these people because of the large number of Ladyboys there. If you are looking for a Gay Friendly Holiday then Pattaya is a definite choice for you! There are plenty of bars and clubs which are made specially for the gay community when they visit Pattaya, there are also a great number of hotels which offer friendly accommodation and will allow other men back with out fuss.
While Pattaya’s Gay Scene is dominated by males, there is always the odd ladyboy about in this scene, it can easily be located by asking a Tuk Tuk driver or Motorbike Taxi Driver to take you to Pattayaland Soi 3. Pattayaland Soi 3 is the major Gay District in Pattaya where locals and foreigners are invited to let there hair down, drink and talk among like minded people and maybe find someone to spend some extra time with when all the bars close. It is said that Soi 3 in Pattaya is probably the largest gay Scene in Kingdom with a number of people congregating here every weeknight.

Meeting and finding a Thai Boy in a Gay Bar is very much the same as meeting a Bar Girl in a Girlie Bar, the details are much the same although I do not believe Bar Fines are usually charged as most are Freelancers. It is simple, just walk into a bar or club and order a drink, sit down and make eye contact with someone and they will come over, have a little talk and see if you to get along, I believe it would be best to talk about payment before hand and if everyone is happy it would probably be best to go to your hotel. I am told through friends that Thai Men do not generally have so much care for the money aspect and this can often lead to more meaningful relationships last between tourists and Thais which can be great for everyone involved. All of this information is much the same for a Lady who has come to Thailand to find a Thai Girl. Although the Lesbian Scene is far smaller it does exist and people just need to persistent. Another option is to try the regular bars and just talk to the bars, often enough plenty of them will have an interest because it means they will get to have some fun and nothing else to worry about.

Drinks for the guys cost a bit more, and up market places will charge a bar fine; although this is not nearly as expensive as the girl bars with it usually costing no more then 200 to 400 baht. Thai Men will often have limits to what they will be willing to do in the bedroom, they are usually as small as Thai Girls and as said before, many are not even really Gay.
