Lek Hotel Review
Lek Hotel Pattaya, Thailand – Review
The Lek Hotel in Pattaya is a very old hotel that gets mixed reviews by people from all works of life; weather you be young or old its possible you might love or you might just hate the Lek Hotel, located on Pattaya Rd, Cholburi. The Lek hotel offers 3 different room options at a range of prices from 850bht per night to 1400bht per night. The room’s decor is very old and has not been touched in many years, the bathrooms are an excellent size though and the fridge would be large enough for an entire family let alone 1 or 2 people! The Lek Hotel is hidden on a side street so is is fairly quiet most of the time, it gets some great recommendations through the Phuket-Addict’s Online Forums.
Although the hotel is quiet most of the time, it is still in walking distance of the main Pattaya Nightlife fun! The hotel staff is fairly easy to talk with, although they can be rather abrupt at times with customers who appear to be spending less then the average tourist should. The Lek Hotel lost many points with the Best Hotel Pattaya team due to this, in fact an entire star was drop due to this! There are often many complaints from people that staff will request extra money to perform simple tasks life find a non smoking room, although in this hotel we do not believe it would be easy at all!
The Lek Hotel in Pattaya is girlfriendly, and has the girl’s sign a book when they walk in and then again when they leave. This is something the guest must sign, and when queried the team at Hotel Pattaya were inform by the Luk Hotel staff that this is to protect the guest, the bar girl and the hotel from any type og argument on who may have done the wrong thing in the event something goes missing or gets stolen fro the room while the bar girl is their, you are their, the hotel staff are their or anything else that could happen!
The Lek Hotel has a restaurant, although the food will often taste like paper or card board and the price is rather steep when you compare the local restaurants and even the food carts that are about 2 meters up from the hotel. While food carts would not usually be a prime choice of food for a tourist visiting Thailand, it will be a big improvement on the food that is served at Leks Hotel, Pattaya. We believe that the girl on reception also runs into the kitchen to cook up what ever is needed, and this is why it will either always be over cooked or under cooked!
