Pattaya Snake Farm – Queen Saowapha Memorial Institute

The Pattaya Snake Farm was initially setup up so it would be able to produce enough anti-venom serum for snake-bite victims right across Thailand. Thailand is home to some of the most venomous snakes in the world, these include;  Siamese Cobra, The King Cobra, Russell’s Viper, Banded Krait, Malayan Pit Viper, and even the famous and brilliant Red Belly Black Snake which is based in Australia but they seem to find there way here. The snakes at the Pattaya Snake Farm are milked daily so the staff at the Snake Farm can get the toxic venom, which in turn is provided to the hospital who create Anti-Venom. This can be a very education place to visit if you are willing to make it that way. Feel free to come through when they are Milking the Snakes for the Venom, or you can swing by and watch the Snake Handlers do some amazing stuff such as Kissing the Snakes and allowing them to cover there entire bodies.
